Job Title: Meat Cutter and Seafood Counter Worker

Location: Loblaw City Market, 3185 Arbutus St.

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Meat Cutter and Seafood Counter Worker. Job Description:

As a Meat Cutter and Seafood Counter Worker, you will play a dual role in our store. You will be responsible for both cutting and preparing meats and assisting customers at our seafood counter. This role requires a blend of technical skills in meat and seafood preparation, as well as excellent customer service abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Meat Cutter Duties:

  • Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat, including beef, pork, poultry, and more, according to store standards.
  • Ensure all meat products meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized meat cutting area, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of meat products as needed.

Seafood Counter Duties:

  • Prepare and display a variety of seafood products, including fish, shellfish, and prepared seafood items.
  • Provide knowledgeable and friendly service to customers, answering questions and offering cooking advice.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the seafood counter and storage areas.
  • Follow all food safety protocols to ensure the freshness and quality of seafood products.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in meat cutting and/or seafood preparation is highly desirable but not required.
  • Strong interest in learning and developing skills in both meat and seafood preparation.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
