The Role:

The Live Well Program and Assessment Team at Medcan is accountable for driving operational excellence among our Live Well Programs and Assessments. As an intern you will support senior management and development through collaborating with key stakeholders to optimize operational enhancements. This is a winter internship opportunity which will run from January to April 2025 and will work directly with the Senior Manager.

Our paid internship program gives students practical work experience, learning and development workshops, social outings, and an opportunity to meet with our CEO and executive team members.  You will be an active participant in a designated project and be a member of a highly collaborate team.

The Accountabilities:

  • Engage with Senior Management to review and enhance current operations and assist with streamline of current offerings.
  • Provide insight into standard operating procedures in collaboration with team members and key stakeholders.
  • Create a mechanism to report and track input from user and client feedback to enhance current program/product offerings.
  • Provide administrative support to senior manager in organizing monthly cross functional department meetings to discuss capacity needs, operational efficiency, and align strategies for improving profitability across all functions.
  • Analyze metrics to understand client behavior and product performance and continually improve company products.
  • Play an active role in ensuring the success of a key project, including tracking progress, updating team and manager, and meeting deadlines.
  • Provide support to team members as needed.

The Requirements:

  • Current 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student or master's student in Business Administration, Health Science, Healthcare Management / Administration or Economics is preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Highly analytical and comfortable with quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Strong time management and able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Self-sufficient individual with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams
  • Eager to learn and contribute

This is an internship expected to run full-time from January 6, 2025 to April 25, 2025. The incumbent will work 5 days/week between Monday to Friday during regular business hours, and must be able to work at 150 York St on a hybrid basis.
