Job Description Summary

The Aero North Europe Service Manager will report to the Aero Europe Service Director and will be responsible for leading the business strategy for the Aero derivatives customers within the assigned region. In this role, the candidate will lead a team of CSLs and CFMs and will take care and ownership of certain specific Service Contracts delivering the short/medium term objectives and positioning the organization for growth. Following the SQDC imperatives, candidate will integrate and develop standard processes, manage complex issues, own the customer relationship and contribute to the overall Aeroderivative business strategy.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the business plan for the Aero North Europe Region for quarterly/yearly business reviews and OP Plan
  • Be the recognized partner and representative of all stakeholders such as engineering, finance, sales, OFS, risk, parts and repairs
  • Ensure that governance is in place across the Aero North Europe Region and manage the business effectively
  • Act as the first point of escalation for the Aeroderivative customers within the assigned region
  • Coach and mentor the team and develop the leadership pipeline
  • Attract, hire, integrate, develop, motivate and retain talents
  • Lead specific Service Contracts within the region taking ownership over them
  • Partner with Fulfilment and all other supporting functional leaders to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Help to drive commercial strategy alongside the commercial team and account directors to position the portfolio for growth
  • Build and sustain business partnerships with customer leadership teams assuring as required steering committee meetings and technical seminars
  • Ensure GE processes and policies are applied in the assigned countries on all business aspects: safety, quality assurance, outage excellence, pacing, tax compliance, revenue recognition, billing and cash collection, import-export, recruitment, coaching and promotions, compensation and benefit, etc.

Qualifications/Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or comparable knowledge and experience
  • Extensive experience in managing service contracts in a customer-facing role
  • In-depth knowledge of aeroderivative gas turbines
  • Strong understanding of the aeroderivative market within the region
  • Proven experience working in a service-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate effectively and drive accountability within a matrix organization
  • Solid operational and financial acumen
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Desired Characteristics

  • Technical knowledge of power generating technologies 
  • Excellent problem solving and project management skills
  • Previous experience is managing customers in the Power Generation industry 
  • Familiarity with Contractual Service Agreements T&Cs
  • Experience working with internal and external leadership teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Lean and continuous improvement mindset
