Under close supervision, provides general HR assistance to business unit or corporate functional area which may include recruiting, selection and staffing, employment and personnel documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits. Learning role with 1 to 2 years of experience.

Position Overview

As a critical strategic partner, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) aligns HR initiatives with organizational objectives to drive business results. In this role, you will advise leaders and employees, cultivate a high-performance culture, and champion talent development.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal supervision. Reporting directly to the HQ-based HR Director, this position delivers HR leadership across two manufacturing facilities, including the Fontaine Modification Company corporate headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Organizational Design

  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations on people-related challenges and initiatives.
  • Business Alignment: Partner with leadership to design and execute HR strategies that directly support business objectives and optimize performance.
  • Change Management: Act as a change agent, driving, supporting, and managing organizational change initiatives.

Talent Management & Culture

  • Leadership Coaching: Advise and coach managers on performance management, career development, and employee relations.
  • Culture & Inclusion: Promote a positive, inclusive, and equitable work environment, acting as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
  • Talent Pipeline: Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to identify, attract, and integrate top-tier talent to meet current and future business needs. 
  • Training & Development: Design and facilitate targeted training and development programs to elevate workforce capabilities and skills.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • HR Analytics: Analyze key HR metrics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict alignment and compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within manufacturing.  Multi-site experience is a plus.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to think critically, translate business goals into HR initiatives, and manage complex, multi-stakeholder relationships.
