What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for onboarding our new hires. This role will entail designing and completing comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure new hires integrate smoothly and effectively into the company. They will coordinate orientation sessions, manage necessary documentation, and serve as the primary point of contact for new employees and candidates post accepting Amgen offer during their transition. Their goal will be to foster a positive onboarding experience that promotes engagement and retention from offer acceptance till first 90 days (about 3 months) from joining Amgen India.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for incoming employees, offering guidance, addressing concerns, and providing support throughout their onboarding journey (offer to joining the organization and the next 90 days)

  • Plan, coordinate, and complete the onboarding program with internal key collaborators, taking ownership of it.

  • Foster robust relationships with hiring managers and departments, taking charge of ensuring a streamlined and efficient onboarding experience aligned with company standards.

  • Develop, refine, and maintain comprehensive onboarding materials, checklists, and documentation reflecting the latest company policies, procedures, and resources.

  • Collaborate closely with the cross functional teams, taking ownership of seamlessly integrating onboarding within broader HR processes and policies.

  • Manage all new hire communication post-employment offer and beyond Day 1 via ServiceNow ticketing system as well as assess live chatbot inquiries.

  • Arrange and coordinate all New Hire Onboarding tasks and employment documentation as needed for New Hires.

  • Assess and track new employees' progress post-offer through their onboarding process to ensure consistent communication and follow up via associated technologies, the completion of all necessary trainings and any corporate or country specific requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 0 + 3 years of Onboarding or HR Coordination experience Or

  • Diploma and 4 to 7 years of Onboarding or HR Coordination experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Must Have

  • Experience as an Onboarding Specialist, HR Coordinator, or similar role.

  • Previous experience supporting talent acquisition or human resources teams.

  • Experience working in highly cross-functional and matrixed corporate environment.

  • Proficient knowledge and use of Workday, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and collaboration tools such as SharePoint and BOX.

Good-to-Have

  • Communicate and present information as onboarding process subject matter expert with administrative staff and cross-functional partners.

Soft Skills:

  • Relationship builder with internal key collaborators as well as external clients and vendors.

  • Efficient, resourceful, organized and attention to detail to create best-in-class candidate experience and recruitment process for all involved.

  • Demonstrates collaborative and team-oriented approach with colleagues, an active listener with a positive, can-do attitude in dynamic and sometimes high-pressure environment.
