Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse
Salary: From £29,120 (D.O.E.)
Location: Avonvale Vets, Kenilworth branch (occasional travel to our Warwick hospital required)
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 40.25 per week, 1:8 weekends. 1-2 bank holidays per year (paid),
plus, option of either night shifts or full weekend shifts, paid as overtime on top of salary.
Role and responsibilities
Due to our skilled team of Veterinary Surgeons holding various certificates, we treat an exciting range of cases and refer very few. You will be exposed to a wide variety of procedures and advanced nursing techniques. Our skilled nurses have a range of expertise and boast fantastic longevity in service, one of our team having been with us for over 35 years!
We pride ourselves in our full nurse utilisation incorporating consults and Schedule 3 procedures into your working day, providing our nurses with great job satisfaction. Our nurse team includes people with interests in a wide variety of areas including anaesthesia, emergency, client care, behaviour and more. This means you'll be to grow your skills and expertise alongside our experienced team. We are also supported by our wonderful Patient Care Assistants (PCA) who work alongside our RVNs to achieve the highest standards of care for our patients.
The position would be ideal for a self-motivated RVN with their own transport who is keen to develop their skills. This role will include 1:8 Saturday mornings at branch, dependent on requirements at the individual branches. Plus, option of either 1:13 weekends or 1:10 nights (paid at time and a half) at the Warwick hospital.
