About the Role
- Drive strategic project governanceRoles and Responsibilities:
Lead or support the team leads of strategic business initiatives from conception through execution, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals
Review and clarify business cases to assess business justification and implementation approach, as well as to facilitate approval process
Work with project teams to align schedule and budget to deliver benefits contributing to overall company strategy and business goals
Track performance against KPIs. Conduct regular reviews with KPIs owners to evaluate performance against forecast and recommend actions/adjustments as necessary
Reinforce and execute the project approval governance
Generate insights from business performance and strategic progress in order to identify opportunities to achieve our ambitions
Work closely with different functions within AIA such as agency, partnership distribution, corporate solutions, healthcare, technology, finance, operations etc. to align on strategies and drive execution of key strategic initiatives.
Establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure effective oversight and accountability for key programs and report program/project status
Prepare and present strategic updates and reports to senior management, ensuring clarity on initiatives and outcomes.
Support coordination of annual strategic planning and budget exercise and quarterly business review
Design and maintain AIA PMO intranet with regular newsletter sharing best practices / success stories and proper project document repository
Minimum Job Requirements:
A Bachelor degree in Business, post graduate degree is a plus
8+ years experienced business professional including a significant number of years in top management consultancy firm with extensive exposure to Insurance/ Financial Services industry
Proven strategic thinking skills
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Solid PMO experience is preferable
Strong track record of high-quality, end-to-end program execution involving multiple cross-functional teams
Strong numerical capabilities combined with strong commercial acumen
Ability to structure clear and compelling communications for senior executive audiences
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent leadership skills, team player and ability to influence
Excellent communication skills and able to communicate with senior executives effectively
Ensure team members who perform regulated activities have obtained the relevant licenses and fulfilled the licensing requirements
Proficient in English and Chinese written and presentation skills
