At Micron, we are looking for a highly skilled and meticulous Project Management Information System (PMIS) Engineer to join our team. This is an exceptional chance to contribute significantly by overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our top-notch PMIS. As a PMIS Engineer, you will collaborate closely with teams from various departments to ensure efficient collection, management, and analysis of project data throughout its lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

PMIS Implementation and Integration:

  • Lead the configuration, customization, and deployment of our PMIS to meet the specific requirements of our semiconductor fab construction project.
  • Integrate PMIS with other systems such as ERP, BIM, document management, scheduling, procurement, and cost control systems.
  • Coordinate with software vendors and IT teams to address system updates, bug fixes, and enhancements.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain data standards and ensure accurate and timely data entry across project management and control systems.
  • Manage project-related data, including schedules, cost estimates, procurement status, materials tracking, and progress reports.
  • Design and generate custom dashboards and reports for project performance analysis.

System Support and User Training:

  • Provide ongoing support and training to project team members in the use of PMIS tools and related software systems.
  • "Resolve system issues and enhance system efficiency."
  • Develop user manuals, training materials, and SOPs for efficient PMIS use.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Serve as the liaison between project controls, IT, and engineering teams to ensure the system meets user needs and project objectives.
  • Work together with colleagues to create efficient workflows and processes for tracking and reporting on projects.
  • Ensure effective collaboration among geographically dispersed teams.

Project Controls and Performance Monitoring:

  • Support the Project Controls team in monitoring project progress and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work with schedulers and cost controllers to accurately capture and monitor project timelines, budget forecasts, and resource allocations.
  • Enforce change control processes through the system.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure PMIS compliance with regulatory requirements and project standards.
  • Participate in risk assessment and mitigation efforts.
  • Support project audits by providing system reports and ensuring data integrity.

System Optimization and Continuous Improvement:

  • Discover possibilities for enhancing system efficiency and refining processes.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and implement upgrades or new tools as necessary.
  • Lead system enhancement initiatives.

Compliance with Safety and Regulatory Standards:

  • Incorporate safety compliance tracking, environmental regulations, and quality control measures into the PMIS.
  • Collaborate with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams for better visibility and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in PMIS or similar project control systems, with experience in large-scale construction projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in PMIS platforms, data analytics, and software integrations.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or similar project management certification.
  • Experience with Agile or Lean methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based PMIS solutions and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Experience working in multinational teams or projects.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily based on-site at the semiconductor fab construction location, with potential for some remote work.
  • Extended hours or weekend work may be required, as well as occasional travel.
