Northrop Grumman, Mission Systems is looking for a Programs Director to support the Land and Maritime Sensors Business Unit and lead the Advanced Land Sensors (ALS) Production Programs. The director will be responsible for the execution and performance of the ALS production portfolio. They will ensure that all engineering, manufacturing, business management, mission assurance, and supply chain activities are executed to meet program requirements for cost, schedule, and technical performance. This individual will report into the Director of ALS Operating Unit (OU) and will provide day to day assistance to business areas to meet the OU objectives / financials. The individual should be experienced in all aspects of program execution along with the engineering and manufacturing process. The ability to lead diverse teams and a strong leadership background is required. This role requires a strong customer relationship and the ability to communicate well at executive levels. A top priority of this role is to successfully deliver G/ATOR systems while meeting or exceeding financial commitments to the business; the person in this role will strategically drive the G/ATOR team to ensure this execution. 

Program Directors are responsible for coordination and management of all phases of execution, from inception (proposal development) through completion (contract closeout). Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 
• Adherence to all internal processes for Program Management 
• Manage a team of direct reporting program managers 
• Leading and directing multiple large cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) 
• Completion and tracking of the Contract Requirements Traceability Matrix 
• Development and adherence to Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) 
• Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and tools 
• Submission of program performance in internal reporting systems (i.e. IPRS) 
• Coordination of Contract Change Board activities internally and with the customer, to include Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) 
• Government Property (GFE, CFE, etc.) tracking and management 
• Development and delivery of presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders 
• Knowledge and execution of a variety of proposal and contract types (FFP, CPFF) 
• Proposal development / capture planning and strategy 
• Creation, review and finalization of the program Statement of Work 
• Negotiation and establishment of schedule milestones, payment, and other key contract terms and conditions. 
• Development of customer relationships and cultivation of customer intimacy 

Basic Qualifications: 
• Bachelor's Degree and 10 or more years of experience; OR Master’s and 8 or more years of experience supporting Department of Defense or Government contracts
• Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager. 
• Demonstrated success aligning teams, organizations or employee resource groups to achieve a common goal. 
• Experience managing communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs. 
• The ability to address program uncertainty through an organized and analytical forward looking approach that identifies risks and opportunities, determines appropriate handling plans, and manages, controls, and communicates risks and opportunities throughout the lifecycle of the program. 
• The ability to plan for, identify, estimate, cost, acquire, schedule, and retire resources needed to satisfy program requirements within organizational constraints. 
• The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance. 
• Demonstrated success with cultivating customer intimacy 

• Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Security Clearance 


Preferred Qualifications: 
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or a similar technical field 
- 10 or more years of related technical experience in engineering or manufacturing 
- 10 or more years of management experience in Functional Management, Engineering Management, or Program Management 
- Prior experience with execution of large, multi-year development and/or production programs 
- Prior experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and MS Project 
- Knowledge of radar/sensor hardware and concepts
- Experience working as a Prime contractor
- Active Secret Clearance 

Salary Range: $200,100.00 - $300,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
