About the Role
To deliver a secure, compliant, automated, resilient, and cost-efficient Azure cloud platform, supported by strong governance, enhanced observability and AIOps capabilities, and clear architecture and engineering leadership.Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Azure cloud environments that are secure, scalable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
Ensure high availability, reliability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness across cloud platforms.
Lead cloud modernization and platform transformation initiatives.
Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives and support engineering teams in understanding and managing cloud cost drivers.
Operate within enterprise governance frameworks and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations.
Enforce cloud governance controls, including resource tagging, cost management, security baselines, and policy compliance.
Collaborate with risk, audit, and compliance teams to meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
Define and implement cloud guardrails, Azure Policies, and governance blueprints.
Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and AIOps teams to strengthen end-to-end observability across cloud infrastructure.
Integrate AIOps capabilities to enable proactive incident detection, root cause analysis, and automated remediation.
Develop and maintain SLIs, SLOs, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms to ensure optimal platform performance and reliability.
Partner closely with Enterprise Architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps.
Contribute to architecture reviews, solution approvals, and technology selection decisions.
Translate business and architectural requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Demonstrate innovation leadership by driving the adoption of modern cloud practices, automation, and emerging technologies.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, platform engineering, and AIOps capabilities.
Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and influence engineering best practices.
Champion a DevOps culture, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence across teams.
8-12+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on cloud technologies (Azure preferred).
Deep knowledge of Azure services (compute, networking, storage, security, identity), Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale architecture, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
Proven experience implementing observability solutions, preferably Dynatrace or similar AIOps platforms.
Knowledge of Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud) would be an advantage.
Proven experience working in highly regulated industries such as banking, insurance, healthcare, or government.
Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS benchmarks) and Cloud governance models and compliance controls.
Experience operating within engineering governance frameworks and approval processes.
Experience working with or supporting Enterprise Architecture functions.
Ability to interpret and implement enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and design principles.
Demonstrated innovation leadership and a proven ability to drive transformation initiatives.
Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.
Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed enterprise environments.
Certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP) are an added advantage
Experience with:
CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Container platforms (Kubernetes, AKS)
Platform engineering and self-service cloud capabilities
FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization
