Job Description:

The Group Benefits solutions and insight analyst will support the Program Manager in executing cross-functional initiatives to improve problem resolution capabilities, processes, and controls within Group Operations. This role will assist in enhancing service quality and operational efficiency across multiple teams.

Project Support

  • Assist in coordinating project delivery across multiple teams

  • Help manage timelines, deliverables, and resources for various business initiatives

  • Support the continuous improvement process in collaboration with the Best Practices team
     

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support hypothesis validation

  • Assist in preparing data-driven recommendations for operational improvements

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Excel and Tableau

  • Support Bright Promise activities and reporting
     

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with various Group Operations areas, including Health & Dental Claims, Contact Centre, Implementation, and Business Development

  • Support the Program Manager in organizing and facilitating cross-functional meetings
     

Process Improvement

  • Help identify and document process enhancement opportunities

  • Assist in implementing approved process improvements

  • Track and report on the progress of improvement initiatives
     

Administrative Support

  • Prepare presentations, communications, and other business area deliverables

  • Organize and maintain project documentation and files

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, including leadership and team meetings

Qualifications and Skills

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in project coordination or related field

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies

  • GB Ops or GB Call Centre experience an asset
     

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience with project management tools is a plus
     

Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
     

Communication

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders

  • Strong collaboration skills

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
