The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is seeking to hire a Research Associate to design and fabricate multifunctional polymer lattice structures with integrated sensing ability for mechanical protection in various applications through powder-bed-based 3D printing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design multifunctional lattice structures.

  • Fabricate lattice structures by 3D printing.

  • Conduct property tests of 3D-printed structures.

  • Collaborate with other group members (including PhD students and research staff).

  • Publish research results in reputable international journals.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimally Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or closely related field.

  • Good communication and writing in English.

  • In-depth knowledge in lattice structures and 3D printing technologies.

  • Experience in numerical modelling for 3D printing.

  • Good publication record.
