SN177 WO#1 Core Banking Job Title: L3 Support Senior Appl Maintenance Domain: Core Banking Sub-Domain: L3 support Role Level: Senior (L3, 6-9 Years of Experience) Location: Kuala Lumpur Job Summary: The Senior Application Maintenance/Production Support Specialist will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting critical REM & ROS payment systems hosted on AS400/DB2. The role demands expertise in COBOL and RPG programming languages, along with experience in L3 production support. Strong knowledge of the ITIL framework and incident management processes is required to ensure system stability, timely issue resolution, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: 1. L3 Production Support: Analyze and resolve complex incidents and service requests for REM & ROS applications. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure system stability. 2. System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor system performance, apply fixes/patches, and ensure high availability. 3. Incident & Problem Management: Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management with timely escalation and RCA documentation. 4. Code Analysis & Bug Fixing: Debug and optimize COBOL/RPG programs for application issue resolution. 5. Collaboration & Reporting: Work with stakeholders and teams to resolve issues and maintain documentation for support activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: 1. Technical Skills: o Expertise in COBOL and RPG programming on AS400. o Strong knowledge of DB2 for querying and troubleshooting. o Familiarity with AS400 operations, job scheduling, and monitoring tools. 2. Support Experience: o 6-9 years of experience in L3 production/application support roles. o Hands-on experience supporting Payments systems (REM & ROS preferred). 3. ITIL Knowledge: o Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, and Change Management). o ITIL Foundation certification is a plus. 4. Soft Skills: o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. o Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. o Ability to work independently and under pressure in a 24/7 support environment. Good-to-Have Skills: Experience in system upgrades, migrations, or performance tuning on AS400. Knowledge of banking processes and payment flows in Core Banking. Exposure to automation tools and processes.
