Your role and responsibilities

In this role, we are looking for a Software Engineer – Edge & Digital Solutions to join our Industrial Automation Digital Organization. The role involves developing and enhancing software applications and Edge-based solutions for industrial automation platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and deploy scalable and reliable software components while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Develop and maintain applications using .NET, C#, and Angular across front-end and back-end layers.
• Design and develop REST APIs and backend services for enterprise applications.
• Contribute to Edge and Industrial IoT solutions utilizing MQTT, AMQP, HTTP, and Modbus protocols.
• Support telemetry data processing and edge-to-cloud integrations within industrial environments.
• Develop and support microservices-based applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to support automated testing and deployment.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, troubleshooting activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for the role

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience with full-stack development exposure.
• BE/BTech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of .NET/.NET Core, C#, and REST API development.
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL databases, and CI/CD concepts.
• Knowledge of MQTT, AMQP, HTTP, or Modbus communication protocols is advantageous.
• Exposure to Edge Computing, Industrial IoT, or industrial automation solutions is preferred.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently in Agile teams.
