Job Description:

We're looking for a Sr. Director to lead a team of Machine Learning Scientists and Data Scientists. This employee will work closely with CoreLogic's Engineering and Technology group while supporting various initiatives. Join this hybrid-remote team and help build products while leading end to end integration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, development and production of machine language, statistical modeling and overall company analytics solutions.  
  • Data Science partner to product management and software engineering to define product strategy, level of effort, roadmaps, technologies, pricing and value proposition of AI solutions.  
  • Provide direction and leadership related to the selection and development of tools, methods and techniques related to the evaluation criteria for obtaining results.  
  • Applies deep learning technologies to give computers the capability to visualize, learn and respond to complex situations.
  • Adapts machine learning to areas such as virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, robotics and other products that allow users to have an interactive experience.
  • Manage and direct data science resources in accordance with corporate and division goals and objectives.  
  • Participate in company-wide product strategy, design and development, software development and strategic planning.  
  • Technical leader of a Data Science team.  
  • Provide the scientific leadership for the analytics team and mentor the junior team members to maximize technical growth and development. Provide pre-sales and post-sales analytic support for partners, prospects, and clients.  
  • Analyze the present model performance to partners, clients and prospects. Understand business requirements and formulate solutions to those business problems.  
  • Help and oversee QA and analysis of large amounts of partner and client data. Creation of appropriate data sets for model building.  
  • Creation, selection and variable reduction of predictive features from raw data. Recommendation and selection of most appropriate analytics techniques to solve a specific problem. Creation of model reports for client review and model documentation.  
  • Perform and oversee pattern recognition model creation and training using various types of algorithms and modeling techniques (e.g., scorecards, linear and logistic regression, neural networks, support vector machines, boosting trees, unsupervised models, natural language processing and large language models).  
  • Publish white papers on risk management methods and solutions. Attend and present to industry conferences as a risk management expert. 
  • Participate or lead the client calls.  

Job Qualifications:

  • PhD degree or foreign equivalent in Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or closely related Scientific field plus ten (10) years of experience in Machine learning techniques, Data mining, Language Modeling, Statistical modeling and/or Pattern recognition model building, or in closely related occupation preferred. Employer will accept a Master's Degree and 15 years of experience or training. 
  • Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered.
  • Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be "quantified" by "time."
  • Required expertise/knowledge includes:
  • Experience with multiple analytic development tools, statistical tools, and programming languages, such as Python, R, Java, Scala, Perl, etc.
  • Experience manipulating and computing data in cloud services (e.g. AWS or GCP);
  • Machine learning and LLM techniques, data mining, statistical modeling and/or pattern recognition model building for clients on real world problems.
  • Advanced knowledge in various aspects of predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and other relevant disciplines.
  • Understanding of relational data mining principles; Managing data science teams.
  • Understanding of industry practices and established policies and procedures to the problems.
  • Experience managing multiple key initiatives and projects with complex inter-dependencies; Formulating business problems and designing analytic approaches.
  • Present analytic insights and modeling techniques internally and externally.
  • US or international mortgage industry experience, including fraud, default and delinquency.  

Annual Pay Range:

218,800 - 245,000 USD
