About this opportunity:

The Head of Studios FP&A COE is a key leadership position within the Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) FP&A Center of Excellence (COE). As a key business partner this role will serve as lead for core planning, reporting and analysis functions supporting the Warner Bros. Studios business.

This role will help guide the growth and stabilization of the organization, working with COE and business partner leadership to manage resourcing needs, deliver stakeholder requirements, drive process improvements, and support system enhancement initiatives.

The Head of Studios FP&A COE will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the Studios FP&A COE functional teams supporting the Products & Experiences, Games & TV Production and Studios Consolidation functions in the COE, delivering key planning, reporting and analysis capabilities in support of the Studios finance organization

  • Serving as a key business partner to the CFO’s of each business supported, and operate as an integral part of their leadership teams

  • Working with COE and BU Finance leadership to develop and execute effective transition plans, leveraging both regional experiences, and functional finance process knowledge, to influence the strategy. Scope to include: Organizational structure; Recruiting and onboarding; Knowledge transfer and process stabilization

  • Overseeing the ongoing development of the team of 45 finance professionals, including professional and people skills, knowledge of the business, and team engagement

  • Partnering with COE leadership, the GBS transformation team, and others to ensure the smooth execution of key initiatives including: Global Process Alignment; Continuous Improvement; Implementation of Planning and Reporting best practices and tools; Effective Change Management; Coordination with other strategic business initiatives

About you:

  • Extensive relevant work experience with significant demonstrated experience in a leadership/management position in a shared services environment. Media industry experience highly desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. accounting, finance); Master’s degree in a related field (e.g. MBA) a plus

  • Advanced knowledge of, and experience with, financial planning, analysis and reporting concepts, and EPM tools and processes. Process oriented with a solid understanding of accounting principles, and internal control concepts. Experience in project management and process improvement

  • An experienced people leader with proven results in building and developing large and dispersed global teams

  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence others and negotiate outcomes. Strong written, oral and presentation skills required (English)

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization. Strong problem resolution skills, and a high degree of integrity, tact and diplomacy

Travel Requirements:

Position will require a minimum of 15% International travel
