The opportunity 

Craft the Future of Typography at Adobe 

Adobe Fonts is reimagining how people discover, manage, and use type—making it more intuitive, inspiring, and powerful for creators of all levels. We’re looking for a Sr. Staff Designer to drive the evolution of typographic experiences across Adobe’s creative ecosystem, blending visionary design with deep systems thinking. You'll explore innovative technology, craft inventive user workflows, and help define how the next generation of creatives engage with type. 

What you'll do 

  • Lead design vision for the future of typographic workflows, using emerging technologies to shape strategic direction and elevate user experiences. 

  • Define design and product strategy, aligning user needs with long-term business objectives through system-level thinking. 

  • Own end-to-end experiences, driving decisions on look, feel, and behavior across platforms. 

  • Prototype and communicate ideas clearly—from early sketches to high-fidelity mockups—to inspire alignment and innovation. 

  • Collaborate across teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact solutions. 

  • Advocate for the user, grounding decisions in research, feedback, and real-world use. 

  • Influence at the highest levels, using storytelling and data to drive clarity and action. 

What you need to succeed 

Must-haves

  • 6 or more years of experience and/or training in design or a related field 

  • College degree or equivalent practical experience in design with an emphasis on graphic design, HCI, or related design field 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams 

  • Effective communication skills and ability to think through complex systems 

  • A real passion for collaborating across many subject areas 

  • Experience working iteratively with an agile engineering team 

  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop 

  • Passion & experience for fonts and typography! 

Nice-to-haves 

  • Knowledge around and passion for accessible and inclusive design 

  • Experience working with existing research, conducting your own research, presenting results, and acting on those results
