Wave Closer

  • Research aging waves: Conduct research on aging waves and orders in PKMS and Vision to ensure customer orders ship on-time and complete.  Tasks include, but are not limited to:
    • Research root cause of aging waves and picking orders with “TSU in Use” and “No Stock” order planning statuses.
    • Ensure aging picking orders are completed in both PKMS and Vision, and systemically located in shipping.
    • Review available inventory and location of inventory in PKMS and Vision systems. Identify and correct any found inventory variances. Initiate inventory movements if required.
    • Prioritize which waves and orders to address to meet customer SLAs.
    • Replace missing cartons upon request from shipping.

  • Support Various Inventory Control Tasks: Ability to support all inventory control tasks as needed, such as, Storage and Organization, Order Fulfillment, Order Cancellations, Clearing Stations, Ad Hoc Projects, Data Management, and shortage resolution.
  • Clearing Stations: Communicate and coordinate with Inventory clearing stations to research, manage, and locate inventory or cartons to complete aging orders.
  • Shortage Resolution: Identify and run shortages in WMS to ensure orders ship complete to customers. Monitor order in vision to ensure completion from picking through shipping.  
  • Data Management: Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to inquiries (e.g., inventory levels or picking orders status). Research requires comprehension of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) messages between PKMS and Vision systems.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, computers, and RF equipment under direct supervision.

How You Will Make a Difference  

What you will do: Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise and materials, picking, and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks 

How you will do it: Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries 

What success looks like: Responsible for working independently to successfully and accurately reach individual production goals

Skills for Success 

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: One year of experience preferred in PKMS, Vision, Inventory Management, and/or exceptions handling.
  • Language Skills: High comprehension of written and spoken English preferred; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills; ability to follow simple instructions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), knowledge of other systems in a plus. Must be able to use and navigate Warehouse Management System (PKMS) and Warehouse Control System (Vision) to complete inventory management and wave closing tasks.  
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate simple equipment under guidance and instruction.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing routine issues promptly and escalating non-standard problems to supervisors.
  • Communication: Collaborating with team members and other departments to complete tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate inventory tracking, labeling, and data entry to prevent discrepancies.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong sense of urgency and self-reliance.

Hiring Range:

$17.82 USD - $22.28 USD per hour

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
