Job Description:
The Sr. Manager, Employee Executive Services is a subject matter expert and strategic leader responsible for designing and delivering a world-class equity experience for all employees across The Walt Disney Company. This role matters because it connects employees’ equity participation to Disney’s long-term success, requiring a skilled, experienced problem-solver, strategic thinker, and collaborative team player who can lead, mentor, and influence at senior levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the strategic architect for the administration and operational evolution of Disney’s global employee equity programs, ensuring they are competitive, scalable, and aligned with the broader financial well-being strategy.
- Develop business cases for new or enhanced equity programs, including benchmarking, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to inform senior-level decision-making.
- Lead the implementation of new equity programs and major enhancements, managing multidiscipline project teams, risks, timelines, and stakeholder expectations from concept through execution.
- Serve as a key strategic partner to HR, Compensation, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other internal partners, providing data-driven insights and persuasive recommendations on program design and operational feasibility.
- Collaborate across functions and geographies, building strong partnerships and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and leveraged.
- Architect and maintain a robust compliance environment, including SOX controls, securities filings, and regulatory reporting, to mitigate enterprise risk in a complex, multi-entity landscape.
- Drive a digital-first roadmap for employee-facing resources, ensuring internal platforms and vendor sites offer sophisticated, self-service capabilities that align with Disney’s standards for digital excellence.
- Orchestrate strategic vendor partnerships, co-creating service roadmaps and integrated strategies that leverage automation, analytics, and streamlined integrations to enhance program scalability and reliability.
- Ensure accountability by setting clear expectations, aligning work with organizational goals, and holding self and others responsible for delivering high-quality outcomes on time.
- Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex participant and stakeholder inquiries, applying expert-level subject matter expertise and discretion to resolve sensitive compensation issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Deep subject matter expertise in compensation and/or equity programs, with a strong track record as a strategic, experienced problem-solver and trusted advisor to senior leaders.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategies, including building business cases, benchmarking, and financial planning for new or enhanced compensation or equity programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, complex, and often multidisciplinary projects with notable risk, including implementation of new programs and systems.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data, ensure accuracy, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment; results/action oriented
- Experience managing vendor relationships and implementing benefit administration systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and functions.
- Expert in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in compensation, equity, or related total rewards disciplines, ideally within a large corporate environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with executive compensation or equity programs in a U.S. publicly traded company and/or consulting environment.
- Technical knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, including familiarity with HR and compensation systems and tools.
- Master’s or Actuarial Sciences degree
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $152,800.00 to $186,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
