Summary of Job Duties:

The Senior Clinical Therapist at the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) AR ConnectNow program will provide direct clinical services such as diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, and family therapy to patients using evidence-based interventions. The AR ConnectNow program was created in response to the urgent behavioral ehealth COVID-19 crisis. All sessions are conducted via telephone or video, but are done so in the office. The Senior Clinical Therapist works directly under the supervision of the Clinical Therapist Supervisor, Program Manager, and/or Clinic Medical Director. The Senior Clinical Therapist must have the ability to make decisions related to treatment planning. They must understand mental health diagnosis and treatment. Adaptable technological skills are required. In addition, the Senior Clinical Therapist will be responsible for ongoing communications with their supervisor and other members of the treatment team. They complete clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with relevant policies and procedures. They will participate in staff meetings, trainings, supervision, and continuing education activities as needed to maintain quality provision and coordination of care as well as professional licensure and/or certification.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field

  • Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from Arkansas Professional Board

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of direct clinical outpatient behavioral health experience


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Leads Care Management's Social Work team in collaboration and with the Social Work Manager.

  • Reviews resource utilization, discharge planning, and social work services to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Oversees admission status, level of care, and resource consumption appropriateness to assure hospital Care Management activities are effective in maximizing patient satisfaction.

  • Manages new employee orientation and provides education to staff related to changes in policy and procedures.

  • Completes performance evaluations of Care Management Social Work team. Assists, coaches, counsels and disciplines social workers.

  • Provides feedback to managers for evaluations.

  • Facilitates preparedness surveys and performance improvement processes.

  • Reports variances in care, systems, or processes through the appropriate means.

  • Ensures right time discharges and documents discharge delays to manage third party payer reimbursement.

  • Provides coverage during times of staffing shortages; performs the duties of a Licensed Social Worker as needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
