The primary purpose of the role is to ensure all necessary funding checks, approvals and arrangements are completed to set up and manage customer accounts, NHS funded and self-funded. Customer and patient accounts will be set up in different platforms – SAP, Evolve, SAP CRM ICE and PCRM. The role involves both administrative tasks and contact handling, requiring inbound and outbound contact with HCPs, patients and internal queries from Field Sales and Technical Consultants. This is a hybrid position based in Watford, UK.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • To set up new accounts, ensuring that all funding information is correct and complete; where it is not, to follow up with relevant Health Care Professionals
  • To work from a shared inbox ensuring an even workload distribution across the team
  • Ensure continuous patient funding by following up and correcting all Payer information for patients who move home and / or hospital 
  • To ensure delayed warranty pumps information is updated, providing continuation of patient care and complete transfers of pump serial numbers to the correct patient for compliance purposes 
  • To investigate disputed invoices and help find further information on disputed invoices before logging as dispute 
  • Working collaboratively with all associated functions to ensure all processes are streamlined, maintained and adhered to.  Proactively identifying and following up with process improvements
  • To have a full understanding of all Funding Management tasks.  Regularly updating the Training Matrix to identify training gaps and needs

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a comparable role in a customer support operation, involving management of payments and invoicing
  • Proven strong administrative and self-organisation skills: a starter-finisher with persistence and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to record and present information clearly and in concise, grammatically correct language - both verbally and written
  • A demonstrable record of high performance on compliance with defined financial, administrative and contact handling procedures 
  • Flexible attitude who can multitask and is comfortable switching between admin tasks
  • Competency using headset and computer simultaneously to navigate between screens and software to required information and data, and to input text/data accurately while on-call

Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 25%) to support field teams and events. Full clean driving license preferred but not required. Prior experience of accounts or funding management with the customer support/services operation of a medical devices/services or high-tech business, and/or where the end user is not the funding source as well as some degree of knowledge of diabetes and/or other medical devices and understanding of the UK healthcare system would be a strong advantage. As would     Touch-typing skills and experience using of CRM/SAP systems to retrieve or enter required data.
