  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantities and conditions against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Ensure all items meet required quality and safety standards, including temperature and packaging checks.
  • Label and store goods in designated areas following inventory practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of received goods and report any discrepancies or damages to the Storeroom Supervisor.
  • Assist in inventory counts and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
  • Collaborate with procurement and kitchen teams to ensure timely availability of required items.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines, to maintain a clean and organized storeroom environment.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, as needed. 

    Education and qualifications

  •  Minimum of 5 CXC passes, including Mathematics and English Language.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with HACCP and other food safety standards is an asset.  
  • Skills/Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot discrepancies and monitor stock accurately.
  • Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple deliveries and stock categories.
  • Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks to meet flight catering deadlines.
  • Team Collaboration: Willingness to support colleagues and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, move, and handle goods safely.
  • Experience

  •  Prior experience in the food service, airline catering, or hospitality industry is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with:

  • Receiving goods and verifying delivery documents
  • Inventory control systems (manual or digital)
  • Working in cold storage or temperature-sensitive environments
