For Linklaters Office in Warsaw, we are currently recruiting for the Accounting Advisor role.
Key responsibilities and challenges:
Review and post purchase invoices, claims for business trip expenses, staff expenses and petty cash, ensuring correct coding, appropriate approvals and compliance with Firm policies and local regulations.
Review the quality and completeness of supporting documentation for all invoices and expenses, and follow up with business stakeholders promptly on any missing or unclear information.
Prepare invoices for payment runs, post bank statements and reconcile payments, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of liabilities.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank, vendor and selected general ledger accounts, investigate differences and support the resolution of issues.
Maintain accurate vendor records in SAP, including onboarding new vendors, updating details and performing periodic data checks.
Support the local finance manager with month‑end and year‑end close activities.
Prepare management reports and variance analysis to support monitoring of costs, budgets and departmental spending.
Support the calculation, booking and monitoring of recharges between the LGS and receiving entities, in line with agreed allocation and calculation methods, and follow up on queries from stakeholders.
Act as the first point of contact for finance queries from business teams and LGS employees, providing guidance on accounting and expense matters and escalating complex issues to the manager as needed.
Support internal and external audit activities by preparing requested documentation, explaining standard processes and ensuring accurate, timely responses to the auditors.
Apply if you:
Feel confident using English at C1 level or above and can communicate clearly with stakeholders at different levels across the organisation
Have a degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Have solid practical experience in accounting (around five years)
Have a good understanding of Polish accounting and tax regulations (UoR, VAT, CIT)
Have experience with travel and employee reimbursement processes under Polish regulations
Are comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
Use Microsoft Excel confidently (for example, formulas and pivot tables)
Have worked with SAP or a similar ERP system, or feel ready to learn it quickly
