Logistics Coordinator

Shift: 2nd shift

Pay: $24 per hour

As the Logistics Coordinator at Southwest Distribution Center (DC) located in Fort Worth, TX, you will expedite and route movement of outgoing orders, confirm orders from customers, and arrange pickup of loads for delivery.  You will also prepare and examine bills of lading to determine shipping information. 

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Communicates internally updates regarding transportation and shipment details.
  • Creates and monitors labels and data for shipments.
  • Determines method of shipment and prepares bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
  • Coordinates and schedules for pick-up of shipments.
  • Prepares and organizes data for shipments with various products and quantities.
  • Keeps records and confirms data with customers for shipments.
  • Prepares and sets up bill of lading from customer and coordinates and arranges information for shipping.
  • Assists in coordination of labels for locations on physical inventory
  • Assists in transferring production requests.

You must be able to communicate with all calibers of personnel, be detail oriented, must possess excellent math skills, time management skills, and organizational skills.  Safety is a priority at our location, and you will fully participate in all safety programs of the facility and are expected to be a leader of both the safety and quality culture.

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma/GED (required)
  • Associates degree or higher (preferred)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-year office or administrative experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years in a warehouse or manufacturing support role
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Age: 18 years or older
  • Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and perform basic math.
  • Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times without exception
  • Time Management: Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by the deadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision
  • Coordination: Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes
  • Active Learning: Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
