Manager, Provider Onboarding

Under limited supervision, manage the on-boarding and organizational enrollment of Physicians and Advance Practice Providers. Partner with hiring leaders to develop and coordinate the complete on-boarding experience.  Utilize process improvement to problem solve, address gaps, enhance processes and efficiency, and organize resources for interviewing, credentialing, and introduction to organizational culture, orientation, system access, continuing development and retention.

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, during normal business hours

  • Required Travel: Travel to other Endeavor Health locations may be required

What you will do:

  • Build, lead, coach and provide on-going feedback to direct reports and the organization to build capability.

  • Manage the Provider On-Boarding Team in accordance with Endeavor Health Medical Group (EHMG) policies and applicable laws/regulations, monitoring work procedures and expediting workflow, issuing written and oral instruction. 

  • Responsible for the development, communication and continuous improvement of a repeatable onboarding execution model that leverages project management principles, to be leveraged by the EHMG Provider On-Boarding team.

  • Responsible for building team capability and capacity that is aligned with project management principles, ensuring a standardized and consistent approach for providing transparency and timely communication of progress of onboarding initiatives.

  • Ensure optimal efficiency in the transition of candidates and transferring providers who have received written offers and are ready to start the on-boarding process, ensuring timely response rates, and meeting customer service expectations.

  • Partner with and direct elements of the on-boarding process including the Credentialing Verification Office (CVO) process ensuring efficient turn around with accurate results relative to job requirements.

  • Delegate the scheduling and attendance of the new provider employee health appointments.

  • Direct and verify the timely uploading of new provider documents by HR Coordinators and automated systems into the document management system, ensuring compliance with EHMG policy and applicable regulation.

  • Identify critical success factors, performance targets, defining objectives and scope.

  • Ensure a high-level provider experience is maintained throughout the onboarding process.

  • Communicate effectively with HR, IT, training teams and Medical Group leaders to ensure any combined objectives are achieved.

  • Ensure the on-boarding process operates in a timely and efficient manner, making recommendations for process and workflow improvement. Responsible and accountable for solution adoption.

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

  • Solicit client feedback on program service delivery and handle client escalations.

  • Partner closely with the business to understand evolving needs and work with them to develop and deliver provider onboarding solutions.

  • Develop metrics and compile reports to communicate with Senior Leadership and identified stakeholders through regular status and dashboard reporting.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or other relevant field

  • Certification: n/a

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience

    • 5+ years of clinical and/or Healthcare Operations experience

    • 2+ years of experience in working with HR Systems

    • Practice Management, medical staff operations, and/or organizational development experience strongly preferred

  • Unique or Preferred Skills:

    • Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    • Navigation of and knowledge/skills associated with applicant tracking systems, recruiting, and employee records systems software 

    • Working knowledge of human resources and recruiting practices, policies, and processes

    • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and supervisory skills

    • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions

    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of applicants, employees, leadership and vendors

    • Effective presentation skills
