Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support production and analysis of the quarterly LDTI results and annual business plan.
• Support analysis of quarterly financial results to explain and communicate key drivers of results.
• Perform experience studies to facilitate the valuation basis review and actuarial analysis on current inforce business to understand the historical experience.
• Support implementation of valuation models using actuarial valuation systems (Prophet).
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and / or reviewing actuarial models for assigned blocks of business for both valuation and embedded value purposes.
• Support in annual Principles-Based initiatives such as Embedded Value and PBEC (Economic Capital) projects etc.
• Assist in production of the annual Taiwan regulatory filing.
• Support IFRS 17 and US GAAP Targeted Improvement implementations in Taiwan.
• Provide actuarial support on any special or ad hoc projects.


Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• At least 2 to 3 years working experience in life insurance/reinsurance companies
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with other team members.
• Advanced PC and technical skills, including database applications, spreadsheets, and actuarial software (Prophet). SQL and VBA knowledge a plus.
• Based in Taiwan. Fluency in English and Mandarin.
