Mike Davis, Chief Anesthetist

Mike Davis has been working at Optim Medical Center in Tattnall since 2018. He has 14 years of working experience since graduating from South University’s Anesthesia Program in 2009. Currently, Mike lives in nearby Vidalia, Ga with his wife and 3 boys.

“This has been a perfect place for me to balance my active family life with this dynamic surgery center that serves the entire southeast Georgia community. As an anesthesia care team, we are flexible enough to be able to support each other’s specific needs while still working efficiently to take great care of our patients in a busy and growing outpatient orthopedic medical center.”

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

  • Current license as a registered professional nurse
  • Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
  • Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
