Summary

ASM Global manages Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Allegacy Stadium and David F. Couch Ballpark on behalf of Wake Forest University. We are seeking a part-time paid Marketing Assistant who is self-motivated, creative, passionate about sports and/or entertainment, knowledgeable about social media, has a great attitude, strong organizational skills, works well independently and enjoys the limelight.

The Marketing Assistant gains real-world marketing experience through work on projects in social media, concert marketing, creative content development and event production in the arena and stadiums at Wake Forest. All applicants will be considered based on other experience and skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing department in daily administrative tasks

  • Prepare and distribute event information to staff and partners

  • Create and edit photo, video and graphic content for social media using Adobe Suite, Sprinklr, native platforms and other software

  • Monitor and report on analytics for social media accounts, website and email

  • Build and send marketing emails using the Ticketmaster Engagement platform

  • Maintain venue websites

  • Collect data and conduct research

  • Assist in promotional activities at events in the venues and throughout the community

  • Cross-train with Box Office, Guest Services, and other venue departments to learn the events industry

Time Commitment

  • 15-20 hours per week working in the ASM Global Marketing office at LJVM Coliseum in Winston-Salem in a remote/hybrid capacity

  • Regular hours will be set based on the applicant’s availability. The ability to work events after regular business hours and on weekends in addition to regular office hours based on event schedule is a plus

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Creative Cloud suite

  • Ability to learn new software for social media management, research, design and facility management is required

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail

  • Knowledge of social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and other outlets is a plus

  • Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated abilities in the following: graphic design, photography, videography and editing
