Job Description​

Within the organizational structure of radiology performs ultrasound exams to assist in direct patient care. Must complete CAP Level II requirements which includes completing a project that satisfies 2 of our 5 core values within your department. Contributes to the professional development of clinical staff and or students at the patient care level. Participates in performance improvement activities and or evidence based practice changes. Demonstrates initiative to promote increased patient satisfaction at the patient care setting. Participate in innovative projects problem solving and educating others at the unit level. Demonstrates initiative regarding growth efforts and or conservation of resources people money time or supplies in unit and patient care processes.

In Convenient Care/Imaging Center setting, may also assist other modalities and perform other duties as assigned.

Provides technical and procedural support to Interventional Radiologists during ultrasound-guided procedures. This position is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound imaging to facilitate safe and accurate needle placement, preparing sterile equipment and biopsy trays, assisting with specimen handling, and collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care throughout the procedural process. Procedures including, but not limited to:
Renal (kidney) biopsies, Liver biopsies, Lymph node biopsies, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, and other ultrasound-guided aspirations and biopsies as assigned.

Applicable Experience:

1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, RDMS Certification - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Reg Vascular Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
