Responsible for the design, development, testing, and management of the application development projects in support of IT infrastructure. This includes the programmatic integration of third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks. Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for all solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance. Duties include technical project milestone reviews, code architecture sessions, resource estimation, and development best practices knowledge transfer.

Part of an Agile Team responsible for a centralized cloud repository with scalable cloud storage to incorporate evolving data sources across the unclassified and classified enclaves.

Primary Responsibilities:
oProvide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
oEstablish goals and plans that meet project objectives.
oHas domain and expert technical knowledge.
oPerforms the following kinds of functions: Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs;
oProvides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff;
oProvides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues;
oConsults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
oDecision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
oMay supervise others.

Basic Qualifications:
oBachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems
oManagement, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
o12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
oAbility to work well within a small agile team environment
oStrong communication skills
oUS Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:
oExperience with collaborative system delivery through configuration management, automated building, automated testing, automated deployment, and automated monitoring and notification
oExperience developing and maintaining components in AWS
oFamiliarity with Data Lakes
oAgile Project Management software: JIRA, Confluence
oCommon development languages: Java, JavaScript, C#, and .NET
oExperience with SpringBoot framework and Terraform
oSearch solutions: ElasticSearch, OpenSearch
oDOD Top Secret Clearance is required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
