Job Summary:

The Career Technical Admissions Recruiter for Goodwill of Middle Tennessee is responsible for the recruitment of prospective students to our skilled trades program. This position plays a crucial role in attracting and guiding potential students through the admissions process and assisting them in making informed decisions about their educational goals and their future in a career technical field.

The Career Technical Admissions Recruiter will promote a positive work environment that celebrates our vision, mission and core values in every action and interaction with team members, donors, customers, management and persons served.

Job Description

Essential Functions

Student Engagement and Outreach:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract a diverse pool of prospective students.
  • Represent the institution at college fairs, community events, and other venues to promote educational programs and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships, community organizations, educational partners, and other organizations to expand the institution's reach.

    

Information Dissemination:

  • Provide detailed information about academic programs, admission requirements, campus facilities, and student services to prospective students.
  • Offer guidance on the application process, deadlines, required documents and ability tests.
  • Conduct individual and group information sessions and campus tours to showcase the institution's offerings.

    

Application Review and Evaluation:

  • Review and evaluate student applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Communicate admission decisions to applicants in a timely and sensitive manner.
  • Refer applicants who do not meet the requirements to our customer solutions team members.

    

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of applicant information using Caseworthy our applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Generate weekly reports on recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven improvements.

    

Diversity and Inclusion:

  • Promote diversity and inclusion efforts by actively seeking students from underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Implement strategies to create an inclusive and equitable admissions process.

    

Event Planning:

  • Organize and coordinate recruitment events, such as open houses, information sessions, and program visits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and positive experience for prospective students.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, communications, marketing, or a related area.

Experience

  • Two (2) years relevant experience required.
  • Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, or related roles is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Current, valid drivers’ license is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking abilities are required.
  • Knowledge of educational programs, academic requirements, and admission procedures.
  • Familiarity with CRM or ATS systems for data management.
  • A customer-focused and student-centric approach.
  • An understanding of career technical careers and market dynamics.
