Senior HR Benefits and Operations Associate

To manage and support benefits administration and HR operations, ensuring effective program delivery, vendor partnerships, and employee support. Key focus areas include census reporting, COBRA and leave management, open enrollment coordination, compliance across regions, and collaboration with 3rd party vendors and external brokers to align benefit programs globally.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with global HR teams to ensure consistent benefits delivery across regions
  • Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), retirement, leave, and wellness offerings
  • Manage day-to-day benefits operations, including eligibility tracking, enrollment updates, and vendor file feeds
  • Maintain and audit HRIS data in Workday to ensure integrity and timely updates for benefits eligibility
  • Pull and analyze census data for compliance, reporting, and strategic planning
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, leave policies, and wellbeing programs
  • Collaborate with the leave administrator to manage FMLA and other leave-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Support open enrollment activities including system configuration, communications, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with OneSource Virtual to optimize Workday-driven processes and co-sourced services
  • Oversee COBRA administration in collaboration with OneSource Virtual, ensuring accurate eligibility tracking and seamless coordination with third-party administrators to maintain compliance and uninterrupted coverage for eligible participants.
  • Partner with external benefits brokers to evaluate, implement, and enhance offerings
  • Assist with benefits-related payroll tasks and reconciliation processes
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance and related invoices

Skills and Experience

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in benefits administration and HR operations, including global program support
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field. A master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in Workday for benefits workflows, reporting, and data integrity; prior collaboration with OneSource Virtual preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of health, dental, vision, 401(k), COBRA, wellness, and leave programs, including FMLA administration
  • Proven ability to manage open enrollment cycles, vendor file feeds, and employee communications
  • Solid understanding of compliance requirements and other federal/state/international regulations
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with benefits brokers and third-party vendors to evaluate and enhance offerings
  • Experience managing COBRA administration, eligibility tracking, and coordination with external administrators
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for census reporting, audits, and benefits-related data analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for employee support and cross-functional collaboration
  • Highly organized with a focus on process improvement, documentation of SOPs, and operational efficiency across regions

In addition to salary, Resolution Life US offers a comprehensive benefits package, including our health & wellness program, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The range for the role may differ based on the location.
