Position Summary

CDK is looking for a Sr. Media Designer (Animation/Video) with top-notch editing, motion graphics, and video/photography skills to help an industry leader tell its story. The Sr. Media Designer will work closely with other creatives, Marketing and other internal teams to produce on-brand, multichannel pieces, product (software) videos, interview/events videos and more. The ideal candidate will have exceptional insight and creativity, excellent communication skills, an engaging portfolio of video and motion graphics projects, an incredible work ethic and a commitment to embody the CDK vision, core values and personality. CDK offers a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and flexibility to present alternative or creative approaches to projects. From national customer-facing campaigns and internal initiatives to social media postings and editorial content, you will be instrumental in shaping a consistent voice and visual presentation for the CDK brand.

Past work samples are required. Please present samples as a demo reel or a portfolio of videos.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Be able to combine audio and visuals to tell a cohesive creative story that conveys the brand voice
  • Input music, dialogue, graphics and effects while ensuring a logical sequencing and story
  • Consult with colleagues, stakeholders and vendors from production to post-production process to drive up standards of digital creativity
  • Contribute new ideas, techniques and feedback
  • Communicate regularly with clients, Project Managers and other Creative team members
  • Comfortable in a studio environment, navigating equipment and setup
  • Well-versed in proper photography and videography techniques
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organization
  • Properly back up and archive all footage for future retrieval
  • Must be comfortable managing, organizing and planning both photo and video shoots
  • Must be comfortable working and communicating with all levels of employees and customers, including C-level executives
  • Flexibility in scheduling time as needed. Some extended weekday hours should be expected; weekends are rare, but must be open to travel when needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Must provide a demo reel or portfolio
  • Bachelor’s degree in animation, film, or related field
  • 5+ years of animation and video experience
  • Experience in an agency and/or in-house work environment
  • Highly proficient with creative software, including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Passport or the ability to get one is required. Open and able to travel

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Able to work both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of creative process and design fundamentals
  • Well-versed in a Mac environment and Adobe Premiere, After Effects and other relevant Adobe CC software. Must know MS Office and other industry relevant software/tools
  • Expert knowledge of filming, production (lighting, audio, and camera equipment), and other industry standard technology
  • Expert knowledge of software (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, etc.)
  • Accept feedback and be able to work positively
  • Encourage others to share and explore ideas
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and competitive output

Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.  The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.We offer Medical, dental, and vision benefits in addition to:
