The Client Licensing Representative (CLR) acts as an internal and external liaison for in-house licensing services offered to clients, telemarketing vendors, and Assurant licensed employees. The CLR works primarily with the business units, Accounts Executives, clients, legal department and internal operational areas to mitigate risks for the company and its clients by monitoring and insuring compliance with state licensing laws and regulations. CLRs are assigned to specific business units and clients. The CLR coordinates with the departments processing, data and audit support teams to assist in corporate and client risk mitigation. This is achieved by insuring clients obtain and maintain the proper licenses and appointments with the appropriate Assurant underwriting companies for products being sold, performing audits, and keeping abreast of state licensing laws and regulations for each U.S. jurisdiction and advising clients of changes affecting their business. This role creates and assigns work to all licensing units, documents and solves problems, and streamlines functions. The CLR position is intended to progress based upon level of knowledge, ability to resolve complex licensing issues, and eventually serving as a resource and mentor to newer CLRs.
