Key Responsibilities:
Public Safety Compliance & Reporting
- Manage and ensure compliance with local building safety regulations, including fire safety, structural integrity, electrical safety, and emergency preparedness for all bank branches and office buildings.
- Prepare and submit public safety reports (e.g., fire safety inspection reports, structural safety certifications, elevator safety checks) as required by government agencies.
- Handle renewal of safety permits, certifications, and related compliance documents.
Facility Safety Inspections & Maintenance Coordination
- Conduct regular safety inspections of building facilities, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency exits, elevators, and backup power systems.
- Coordinate with facility management teams, third-party vendors, and service providers to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of critical building infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) systems and monitor vendor performance for safety-related maintenance.
Risk Assessment & Emergency Preparedness
- Identify and assess potential safety risks in banking branches and office buildings, providing recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for situations such as earthquakes, fires, power failures, and security threats.
- Organize and conduct fire drills, evacuation exercises, and staff training on emergency procedures and building safety.
Government & Stakeholder Liaison
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory authorities, including building management offices, fire departments, and environmental agencies, ensuring smooth communication and compliance.
- Prepare documentation and assist in on-site inspections or audits conducted by government agencies.
- Work closely with corporate real estate, facility management, and security teams to align building safety strategies with business operations.
Documentation & Compliance Audits
- Maintain accurate records of building safety inspections, maintenance logs, safety certificates, and compliance reports for each bank branch and office location.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with local laws, corporate policies, and international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Support ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives, including carbon footprint monitoring and sustainability improvements in facility operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is preferred and should be in Architecture, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building safety management, public safety reporting, or facilities compliance for commercial properties, preferably in the banking or financial sector.
- Certifications (Depending on Local Regulations):
- Fire Safety Equipment Inspector Certification
- Building Safety Inspection Certification
- Occupational Safety or MEP-related certifications (preferred)
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of building codes, fire safety regulations, and MEPF systems.
- Experience in safety compliance reporting for commercial offices and banking branches.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with government agencies, vendors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (for reviewing building layouts) and Microsoft Office (for compliance reports and tracking).
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and manage emergency response planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) or ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System).
- Familiarity with ESG reporting, sustainability initiatives, and energy management.
- Experience working with financial institutions or large corporate offices in a safety or compliance role.
- Possession of LEED, WELL, or Green Building-related certifications.
