Licensed Veterinary Technician

Full-time

Are you a Licensed Veterinary Technician ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate LVT who not only excels in patient care but is eager to grow into a leadership or early management role within our supportive and progressive veterinary team.
Who Are We?
  • At Luv-N-Care, our mission has always been to provide compassionate, accessible, and high-quality care for pets and their families. We’re in the process of transforming our operational model into a modified walk-in clinic — a shift that will help us serve our community more efficiently, more flexibly, and with greater convenience. We are looking for team members that operate from a servant heart and want to provide exceptional care to the pets of Southfield.
 What You'll Do:
  • Provide skilled nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, radiology, and dental procedures
  • Educate clients on treatment plans and home care
  • Support doctors in outpatient and inpatient care
  • Lead by example in daily operations, efficiency, and patient advocacy
  • Begin training in leadership responsibilities such as staff scheduling, inventory, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to workflow improvements
 What We’re Looking For:
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Michigan, having passed the VTNE and in possession of active license
  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience in a small animal practice
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Desire to grow into a leadership or management role
  • A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
Leadership Opportunity:
This role is ideal for someone who wants to stay hands-on in patient care while starting to learn and apply managerial responsibilities. You’ll work closely with our Practice Manager and Operation Direction, receiving mentorship as you take on additional leadership tasks.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off & holidays
  • Uniform allowance & CE support
  • Mentorship in team leadership and career development
