GENERAL SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:                 

  • Assist with prepping patients for procedures, applying ECG patches, obtaining vital signs, shaving patients’ groin or other areas as necessary; assist with room turnover, sterile table set up, femoral arterial and venous line pulls, radial band removal, bed pans, feeding, and walking post procedure, assist with patient discharge. Assists in the transfer of patients from stretcher and wheelchair to procedure table while maintaining the safety and patency of patient IV’s, catheters, and tubes.
  • Communication, safety, equipment, stocking, prepping instruments for re-sterilization, pick up/deliver instruments/supplies to CPD.
  • Cost control, infection control, emergency situations, teamwork and certification, transport of patient, QA on equipment, other duties as assigned by supervisor.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Training: 

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience, certification (CNA), or enrollment in a nursing school is a preferred qualification.

Work Experience: 

  • Prior Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

Certification, Licensure, Registration:

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support required

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to interact well with patients and take vital signs.
