Scope and Responsibilities

The Corporate Accounting team is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to support accounting and reconciliation processes for global entities across EMEA, APAC, and the US.

This role provides strong exposure to financial accounting, month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis, while working closely with global accounting, treasury, fund accounting, and finance teams. The position is designed as an accounting-focused analyst role, where reconciliations serve as a key control and analytical component of the accounting process rather than a purely operational function.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Accounting & Financial Close

  • Support accounting activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries for cash, expenses, intercompany transactions, management fees, and other corporate accounting items.
  • Participate in month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, including preparation of accruals, prepayments, and period‑end adjustments.
  • Assist with accounting for payroll, bonuses, benefits, and equity‑based compensation, ensuring timely and accurate capture in the general ledger.
  • Support preparation of local GAAP and US GAAP adjustments under supervision and maintain appropriate backup documentation.

Reconciliations & Account Analysis

  • Prepare and review bank, cash, and balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely identification and resolution of reconciling items.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and support resolution of differences in coordination with global counterparties.
  • Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules for accruals, compensation‑related balances, intercompany accounts, and other key balance sheet areas.
  • Perform account movement and variance analysis versus prior periods or expectations and provide clear explanations.

Cross‑Functional & Global Collaboration

  • Work closely with global Corporate Accounting teams across Hyderabad, London, Hong Kong, and the US to support consistent close and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate with Treasury, Fund Accounting, Expense Management, Corporate Finance, Payroll, HR, and Compensation Operations to obtain accurate accounting inputs.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and explanations for assigned areas.

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Support execution of key internal controls related to financial close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve close efficiency, reconciliation quality, and accounting processes.
  • Contribute to documentation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Gain exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Workday) and support enhancements to accounting workflows.

Experience Required

  • Chartered Accountant with 0-3 years of accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Ensures compliance with corporate financial standards and internal control requirements
  • Strong reconciliation and analysis skills
  • Advance Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint ability to work with new tools
  • Experience with Workiva and Workday financials is a plus

Education

  • A Chartered Accountant with 0-3 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
