The U.S. Businesses include Individual Life Insurance, Group Insurance, Retirement Strategies, and Retail Advice & Solutions, and Marketing. These businesses provide a range of income, protection, and advice offerings. They are supported by the USB Center organization delivering an end-to-end customer experience that's simple, proactive, and data-driven to fuel financial wellness solutions for our customers. 

Timeline:

The internship program will run from Monday, June 2nd, 2025, to Friday, August 8th, 2025.

Your Day to Day:

You will be empowered to contribute in a meaningful way, add new value to organization initiatives and effect change. Your placement within the US Businesses Internship Program could be in one of the following areas:

• Underwriting (Minneapolis, MN; Hybrid) – Underwriting opportunities are a part of our Individual Life Insurance function. Prudential’s Individual Life Insurance group focuses on offering competitive solutions to meet the needs of consumers through the manufacturing and distribution of a diverse portfolio of life insurance products.
• Sales (Newark, NJ, Ft. Wash, PA; Hybrid) – Sales opportunities are a part of our below functions:
  • Group Insurance - Prudential’s Group Insurance manufactures and distributes a full range of group life, long-term and short-term group disability, voluntary, and group corporate, bank and trust owned life insurance in the U.S. primarily to institutional clients for use in connection with employer plans and affinity groups. 
  • Retirement Strategies - The Retirement Strategies team at Prudential delivers industry-leading solutions for growth and protection to more than 2 million individual and institutional customers.  The Retirement Strategies business is comprised of Individual Retirement Strategies and Institutional Retirement Strategies. 
• Operations (Newark, NJ; Hybrid) – Operations opportunities are a part of our below functions:
  • USB Service Operations & Transformation- USB Service supports all of the US Businesses in Prudential:  Individual Life Insurance, Retirement Strategies, and Group Insurance.  Service Operations and Transformation offers the opportunity to learn about all aspects of servicing including contact centers, back office, digital self-service, and how AI and intelligent automation play a critical role in the modernization of how customers interact with our company after they have purchased a product.  You can have an important impact on the customer, employee, and advisor experience in this function. 
  • Group Insurance - Prudential’s Group Insurance manufactures and distributes a full range of group life, long-term and short-term group disability, voluntary, and group corporate, bank and trust owned life insurance in the U.S. primarily to institutional clients for use in connection with employer plans and affinity groups. 

Required Qualifications:

• Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program graduating between December 2025 and May 2027
• Preferred areas of study: Business, Economics, Management, Business Analytics, Operations, Entrepreneurship 
• Prudential does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Successful candidates must possess the requisite US employment authorization to be eligible for consideration

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent work ethic and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/meet deadlines  
• Excellent customer service and communication (oral and written) skills
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Note: The salary range for this role is $28.00 to $34.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
