Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Operates assigned production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Assists with troubleshooting and resolving routine equipment issues, such as web breaks, flow disruptions, or material jams.
• Monitors product quality and consistency, making routine adjustments to maintain required specifications.
• Supports equipment setups, changeovers, and grade transitions by preparing materials and adjusting machine settings.
• Performs routine equipment checks and minor maintenance, including cleaning, inspections, and basic repairs.
• Executes tasks in one or more production areas such as, stock preparation, paper machine operations, and finishing, to maintain safe, efficient, and continuous production flow.
• Accurately documents production activities, including quality checks, downtime, and shift handoffs.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards, PPE requirements, and housekeeping protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of mill processes and safe operation of production equipment.
• Ability to perform routine machine adjustments and assist with minor troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with quality standards, basic measurements, and product specifications.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills across multiple work areas.
• Understanding of safety protocols, PPE requirements, and basic LOTO procedures.
• Willingness to cross-train and adapt to various production areas, including Stock Prep, Wet End, Dry End, and Finishing.

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $21.01 - $35.82. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $29.99 to $29.99. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
