The individual will work in the Portfolio insights and Regulatory Risk reporting Team for US Personal Banking Risk management team focusing on US Cards (Approximately 110+ million card members with $150+ billion in receivables). The individual will join a team that has responsibility for North America Cards and Installment Lending portfolios.

The person must be able to:

  • Think strategically and analytically and enjoy problem solving.
  • Perform business analysis to respond to regulatory and business questions and provide portfolio insights.
  • Utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) in a UNIX environment to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, sampling, reconciliation, and quality testing.
  • Perform data analysis to monitor and track data quality and completeness of data.
  • Interpret business requirements for the purpose of liaising with Technology Developers.
  • Multitask to handle multiple enhancement projects and requirements.
  • Partner with portfolio leads, Independent Risk and Compliance teams, Business, Risk, Operations and Technology teams to identify, communicate and resolve issues timely.
  • Navigate complex and variable issues and long-term quality improvement projects.
  • Leverage on analytical tools including SAS, SQL, MS Excel, Tableau.



Responsibilities:

  • Active involvement in Portfolio Insights and regulatory projects/workstreams including changes to reporting standards as the SME.
  • Data oriented with ability to quickly understand complex data and business concepts and drive them into actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes and work-flows by applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge and integrating subject matter and industry expertise within Risk Management.
  • Investigate trends and insights to understand and proactively inform stakeholders of changes in Portfolio Insights and Regulatory reporting metrics.
  • Develop and perform analysis that addresses concerns and issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Partner with Portfolio leads, Independent Risk Compliance teams, Business, Risk, Operations and Technology teams to identify, communicate and resolve issues timely.
  • Work with external vendors and Technology when needed, to analyze and respond to data quality issues and perform Root cause analysis.
  • Provide Audit support and answer questions as well as analysis and support to Business Reporting team as required.

Domain and Process Expertise

  • Good understanding of credit risk management in the Credit Card/Consumer Finance domain.
  • Experience in Credit card life cycle and data management.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships including working collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to take ownership of reporting and transformation to drive best practice and contribute to a high performing team.
  • Good knowledge of Citi products, risk processes and controls with understanding of key regulatory requirements and risk management framework.
  • Experience in compiling process and data quality metrics, analyzing results to clearly communicate data-driven analysis to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Risk Management and data analytics
  • Ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a sense of urgency
  • Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects
  • Proven interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
  • Proficient in SQL, SAS, UNIX, Tableau. Knowledge in mainframe environment a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • SAS Certifications, Unix scripting and Python experience are a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
