ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Governance

  • Manages and leads people, technological and financial resources that supports all Business Units for China
  • Manages teams that execute direction in support of all Business Units in China

  • Identifies existing process / product improvements and develops innovative, advanced new concepts that improve the work processes / products across own and related disciplines
  • Develops ideas and leads complex projects across all China Business Units.
  • Lead and manage the China Infrastructure & Platforms team (Security and Engineering).
  • Serve as the accountable owner for all cloud and infrastructure services hosted in China.
  • Establish governance and reporting processes to ensure SLA, compliance, and engineering standards are met.
  • Represent China Cloud Infrastructure in global leadership forums.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all infrastructure and platforms in China comply with PIPL (Personal Information Protection Law), DSL (Data Security Law), CSL (Cybersecurity Law).
  • Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely remediation of findings.
  • Partner with global security and compliance teams to maintain unified risk management.

Engineering & Innovation

  • Develops innovative solutions to complex problems impacting any China Business Unit.
  • Leads unique and complex projects with influence across all China Business Units.
  • Oversee deployment and lifecycle management of all Cloud services that includes servers, storage, network, OS, databases, middleware.
  • Ensure engineering designs follow global architecture and lifecycle standards.
  • Introduce new capabilities in China based on business and application team requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the primary point of contact for China application teams to align requirements with infrastructure capabilities.
  • Work closely with global engineering leads to ensure consistent standards.
  • Coordinate with local IT vendors and regulators to ensure compliance and delivery.

BASICQUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience:

  • 6+ years in IT infrastructure/cloud roles, including leadership.
  • Broad knowledge across cloud security, operations, and engineering.
  • Experience with AWS China, Azure China, and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Prior exposure to compliance-driven environments (ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of China PIPL, DSL, CSL.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Vendor and stakeholder management.
  • Fluent in Mandarin & English
