This role is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic marketing direction for Stryker’s Total Joint Power Tools portfolio while leading and developing a high-performing marketing team. The ideal candidate will combine market expertise, competitive insight, and cross-functional leadership to drive growth and innovation in a rapidly evolving surgical landscape. Acting as the voice of the customer, this individual will analyze market dynamics, identify emerging opportunities, and translate data-driven insights into actionable portfolio and product strategies. As a people leader, they will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and strategic thinking—partnering closely with R&D, Clinical, and Commercial teams to guide new product development, optimize lifecycle management, and strengthen Stryker’s competitive positioning through evidence-based differentiation and customer engagement.

What you will do

  • Lead competitive intelligence, anticipating future market shifts and proactively adapting strategy.
  • Drive market penetration and optimize offerings to meet evolving customer and business needs.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders to inform strategy and strengthen market position.
  • Translate customer insights and market research into actionable strategies and new product opportunities.
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle from development through launch and obsolescence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Clinical, and Commercial teams to align on innovation and evidence generation.
  • Guide portfolio and brand architecture strategy to ensure organizational alignment and long-term growth.
  • Lead market segmentation and forecasting to identify and capture new business opportunities.
  • Manage pricing strategy and ensure alignment with financial goals and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing effectiveness, establishing best practices for performance analysis and budget optimization.

What You Need (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of full time work experience required

What You Need (Preferred)

  • MBA preferred
  • 7+ years medical device or marketing/sales experience preferred
  • 4+ years of people management experience preferred

Travel Percentage: 30%
