Every year, Circle K is selling 60 billion Liters of fuels across our vast network in Europe, supplying our customers with a big variety of fuel qualities through our network.
Circle K has established a commercial energy trading capacity to further commercialize and develop our fuel activities in our markets. This required a change in the way we operate, how we set up our support functions, adapt our IT systems and more. A vital part of the initiative was to establish a designated commercial capacity in Geneva under a new company – Circle K Energy Trading. This capacity manages the commercial decision making and trading activities across Europe.
Therefore, we are looking for a fuel professional who is willing to try something new, take an entrepreneurial step, still being supported by a strong fundament of fuel retail legacy in our markets and is ready to join Circle K as:
Type of Employment: Permanent
Location: Riga, Latvia
Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Work with refined products and its components (diesel fuels, gasoline, aviation fuel, LPG, fuel additives and bio components) for the different Circle K markets
Manage 3rd party trading storages across Europe together with Traders
For 3rd party trading storages perform import, exports and blending operations
Execute shipping program (vessels, barges) as per Terminal Operations and Traders requirements
Perform vetting, terminal clearance, sanction check for vessels as per internal policy and procedures
Work together with Marine Charterer and optimize vessel rotation and freight cost
Initiate, validate and follow on demurrage cases for vessels
Instruct quality inspectors, shipping agents, vessel master
Control cost related to external services: inspections, agents, etc.
Work with trading risk management system (ETRM Symphony), update inputs for import related data needed for daily hedging and stock position controls
Run and control predefined analysis and reporting
Participate in relevant improvement projects
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Preferable degree or experience in Logistics, Maritime Academy, Supply Chain Management or related field
Experience with ERP system and Risk management or Anaplan system will be considered as an advantage
Knowledge of shipping operations will be considered as an advantage
Good communication skills in combination with fluent English language for cooperation with colleagues in Europe
Organized, stress-resistant, goal-oriented, and proactive personality
Strong analytical skills and commercial mindset
Readiness to support business in critical situations outside office hours
