About the Role

Thank you for your interest in an Advanced Trainee position in General and Acute Medicine Medical at St Vincent’s in 2025.

The Advanced Trainees in General and Acute Care Medicine  are  responsible for the delivery of clinical services to St Vincent’s patients, by providing high quality clinical care, contributing to service evaluation and displaying a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in general and acute care medicine. 

Duties:

  • Provide effective supervised day to day clinical management of both ambulatory and admitted patients
  • Effective communication with supervisors and all staff involved in the patient’s care in regard to admission, discharge, management plans, diagnostic requests and consultations
  • Lead daily clinical handover meeting and ward round in conjunction with General Medical Consultant
  • Work with the Director and General Medicine Consultants to build team capacity and supervision of unit Registrars and junior staff


Rotations include: General Medicine, Hospital in the Home (HITH), Cardiology , Respiratory Medicine, Nephrology ,ICU,  Perioperative Medicine, Stroke and Infectious Diseases 
 

Duration of appointment: Monday 3rd February, 2025 - Sunday, 1st February, 2026

Hours: 1 EFT (43hrs)

Classification Range: HM25 – HM30 ($125,900.84 - $173,290.00 per annum).
