Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Fiduciary Accounting  team at Marsh. This role will be based in Warsaw. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Fiduciary Accounting Lead will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and reporting within Marsh structures in the EMEA region. You will lead the team to ensure accurate and timely financial close cycles, develop teammates’ capabilities, and drive continuous process improvements for efficiency.

We will count on you to:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close cycles through effective planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Document and perform internal control procedures to guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee and assist in the performance of the most complex accounting activities.
  • Review team members’ schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Train others on financial systems and manage key interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Recommend enhancements to financial systems and associated processes and participate in or lead their implementation.
  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, and mentoring to accounting staff by cultivating an environment focused on development, assigning projects to build teammates’ strengths, and sharing knowledge through training or reviewing their work.

What you need to have:

  • Very good command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent communication skills and readiness to work in a cross-cultural and cross-team environment.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or the equivalent.
  • Minimum 8+ years of overall professional experience in the Accounting area.
  • At least 4+ years of people management experience.
  • High comfort and tolerance to manage stress and role demands.

  • Experience with insurance practice accounting and/or in Big 4.
  • Any additional European languages, especially Polish.
