  • Base salary will be in the range $74,534 - $79,026 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 4)

In this pivotal role, you will provide essential operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of research services across the University. From processing grant applications and managing research data to liaising with internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in keeping our processes accurate, efficient, and client focused.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Accurately process and maintain research records and agreements using UQ’s data and document management systems.

  • Provide professional and timely support to internal stakeholders by responding to routine research-related enquiries.

  • Assist in tracking research project milestones, ensuring compliance with established procedures and deadlines.

  • Contribute to the smooth operation of grant application rounds through effective filing, receipting, and documentation management.

About You

  • Completion of Year 12 or a diploma qualification, along with relevant administrative experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow established procedures.

  • Proficiency in using standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and administrative systems for data entry and document management.

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, balance competing priorities, and meet routine deadlines.

  • A service-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering consistent and efficient support in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of confidentiality, data sensitivity, and the importance of accuracy when handling digital records.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
