Job Description:

The purpose of a Plant Operator B is to handle various functions/tasks which requires minimal training and a lower level of proficiency.  The Company maintains the right at any time to rotate personnel among the Plant Operator B functions and to assign personnel to operations as required, regardless of seniority and job preference.  All Plant Operator B's will be trained and expected to perform any of the tasks listed below, and may perform one or more of these functions during the shift.  The Company reserves the right to make modifications to this description as necessary to maintain the maximum flexibility of the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing facility, preferred.
  • Ability to work a 12 hour shift, rotating from days to nights.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
  • Ability to bend, stoop, walk, twist, lift, stand, push and pull material 

Key Accountabilities:

·         Must maintain clean and safe equipment and an orderly work area.

·         Obeys all existing fire and safety rules and regulations.

·         Ability to operate a personal computer to enter or access data

·         Handles materials in and about the work area as required.

·         Ability to operate walk behind powered material handling equipment

·         Assist Plant Operators A's as required

·         Trains other Plant Operator B's as required

·         Ability to report usage and production accurately.

·         Ability to set up, operate and control the following processes

o   Band Saw

o   Scrap Burnout

o   Rewash

o   Packaging unit (requires 1 Plant Operator A when needling on-line)

o   2nd Tank Operator/Tank Relief

o   Calciner  

o   Heat press feeder

o    NCMR resolution of WIP (for example, sheet weighing)

o   Water-Jet 2 feeder and material transfer

o   Other duties as assigned 

Compensation:

$21.08/hour
