Job Description/Responsibilities:

    You love solving problems and enjoy learning new technologies. You have 6-8 years of experience in developing Networking and Communication protocols. You have developed a strong practical understanding of common L4-L7 networking protocols like -TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH etc. You should possess Security skills in these areas to break systems and aware of exploits and hacking methods. You should possess can do attitude and ready to take up new initiatives based on Business requirements.

    If you also have relevant industry certifications, it’s a plus.

    Position Summary:

    Lead Software Engineer is responsible to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Takes the initiative to plan and execute own work assignments. The Engineer should have Quality as top focus and able to contribute on both Development and Testing aspects of Software Development.

    
    Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Improving the Security posture of the NetScaler Product.
  • Ensure the feature security is maintained on all form factors of NetScaler including cloud.
  • Technical planning after understanding requirements, translating them into design/development items and be exceptional in execution.
  • Operates as Subject Matter Expert and/or owner of multiple moderate-complex software modules.
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise and other departments on technical matters.
  • Possess the ability to work across various engineering, product management, sales, account teams seamlessly and bring everyone together to solve business problems
  • Key Influencer in the new product or service development and demonstrated experience launching in collaboration with business or partner
  • Should be extremely GOAL oriented and align-self to business/group needs
  • Strive for excellence (although not necessarily perfection’ always). Use your talent, acquainted skills in the best way possible to meet business goals.
  • Development experience in Agile, test-driven development is a plus

  • Basic Qualification:

  • BS/MS in CS/EE or equivalent and Minimum of  5 years of proven design and development skills in complex applications and systems software in networking technologies
  • Outstanding in Datastructures and algorithms.
  • Outstanding C programming skills and scripting skills
  • Hands on experience with protocols like TCP, HTTP, HTTPS (L4-L7 protocols) 
  • Experience in internals of TCP/IP is desired.
  • Proficiency in Systems/Server software development, multi-threaded programming, networking concepts/fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux development platform, network and systems programming + debugging.
  • Strong systems programming skills, with extensive experience developing kernel/OS and networking software
  • Excellent debugging skills both at protocol level (sniffer traces, tcp-dump, etc) and systems level (with kernel debugger)
  • Agile based development experience is a plus
  • Experience on Traffic Management/Server Load balancer(ADC) is a strong plus.
  • Experience of working BSD-style kernel is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in Security in breaking the software, Appliance, Reverse Engineering skills will be desired.
