Job Description

1. Job Overview

Responsible for supporting the Human Resources Manager and the Plant Leadership team in all facets of human resources; including but not limited to; recruiting, policy implementation, reporting of information, employee relations, and employee development.

Geographical scope: OKOK Plant

Decision-Making Authority: None

Functional dimensions: Human Resources, OKOK Oklahoma City Plant

Accountabilities

List in priority order the main accountabilities/deliverables of the role.  These should be statements of the primary responsibilities of the incumbent. 

1.  Recruiting / Onboarding

  • Recruits, interviews and selects hourly employees to fill vacant positions
  • Leads new hire onboarding and new hire experience
  • Ensues new hire performance evaluations are submitted in a timely manner
  • Leads new hire Path to Success training program
  • Trains employees on the self-service model

2.  Employee Relations

  • Manages employee relations issues with HR Managers guidance to affect prompt resolutions
  • Counsels hourly employees to resolve personal or company related problems which affect their performance
  • Promotes positive employee relations and develop employee recognition/event programs
  • Keeps up to date information on communication and company boards

3.  Payroll / Administrative

  • Conducts administrative work in processing of biweekly payroll using Kronos timekeeping
  • Maintains employee records, such as new hires, promotions, performance reviews, disciplinary actions
  • Maintains, updates and ensures accuracy of information in HRIS

4.  Compliance

  • Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures
  • Maintains records as required by internal and external audits
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data

5. Qualifications/Requirements

5.1 Formal Qualifications and Experience

  • BS in Human Resources, Labor Relations or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years Human Resources Generalist experience, preferrably in manufacturing
  • 3+ years high volume recruiting preferred
  • Bilingual English – Spanish, Vietnamese or Malalayan preferred
  • Human Resources certification preferred

5.2 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Behaviours

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient with MS Office, Kronos Timekeeping, and Workday HCM highly desirable
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to support a 24/7 facility

6. Other information

  • Must exhibit the characteristics of a positive role model, action oriented, continuous improvement mindset
  • Act as a business partner to the plant supervisory staff, working with them to ensure a positive culture is maintained on the plant floor.
